Stump grinding uses a machine to chip the stump several inches below ground level (usually 4–10 inches). This is faster and generally less invasive. Stump removal (full excavation) involves removing the entire stump and major roots, leaving a larger hole. After grinding, we can haul away the wood chips or leave them for you to use as mulch.

In most Indiana residential areas, fences cannot exceed 6 to 8 feet in height, and height restrictions are typically stricter for fences installed along the front property line (often limited to 3 or 4 feet). Solid privacy fences (wood or vinyl) must adhere to these rules, while open chainlink fences may sometimes be allowed to be slightly taller. You must also ensure the fence is not placed in a drainage or utility easement.

In Indiana, generally, you have the right to trim any branches or roots that cross your property line, including those over your fence. However, you can only trim back to the property line. You cannot kill or damage the health of the neighbor's tree, which is why hiring a professional arborist is recommended, especially for large limbs or high branches.

Our commitment to quality includes thorough cleanup. We remove all cut limbs, brush, and wood debris from your property. We also rake and use blowers to clear sawdust and small pieces, leaving the site clean and tidy. Unless you request otherwise, the wood chips from stump grinding can be left for mulch or hauled away.

The best time often depends on the type of tree and the reason for pruning. Generally, late fall or winter (when the tree is dormant) is ideal for most deciduous trees because it minimizes stress and allows you to clearly see the tree structure. However, hazard trimming or removing dead limbs can and should be done at any time of year.

It's not just a fence, it's providing safety and peace of mind for your property.

Let’s discuss how we can bring safety, beauty, and peace of mind to your space.
